Get sharpen on detecting and investigating
- Joined the company April 2019
- Facilities management engineer
- K.I.
In graduate school, I majored in paleontology, excavating fossils, examining the age of strata based on excavated fossils, and examining the morphology and ecology of paleontological organisms. I was very devoted to my research that I once spent two weeks living in a field far from Mongolian town.
I was fascinated to hear about the company information and benefits in depth at the briefing, and to know USJC is a company that manufactures semiconductors, which will be increasingly needed in the future.
I belong to the Environmental Management Section of the Facilities Department, and provide environmental management services for the plant. Paleontology and environmental management are completely different fields, but the environmental fields I studied in college, such as ecosystems and the atmosphere and water cycle, can be utilized in my current work.
After studied palentology, I get responsible as a part of enviormental history. Besides, deduction the mechanism and process of biological evolution and interactivation between creature and environment sharpening my induction.
Sustainable factory environment Sustainable factory environment
The Facilities Department's job is to develop infrastructure to properly supply water, electricity, gas, and chemicals used in manufacturing equipment so that factories can manufacture semiconductors safely.
Within the Facilities Department, the Environmental Management Section where I belong, keeps track of the usage of chemical substances in the plant and manages the waste discharged during manufacturing. It is also important to prepare and submit a written notification concerning environmental laws and regulations to the government. For example, when new equipment is introduced, it is necessary to comply with laws and regulations to obtain permission for installation. Therefore, specified documents must be submitted. It is only when we submit these required notifications without omission that we will be able to operate the plant. At first glance, these tasks may seem like monotonous office work, but in reality, they are often complex and require a wider range of knowledge, making them both challenging and rewarding.
The Environmental Management Division also manages the operation of an environmental management system (EMS) based on ISO 14001. EMS requires continuous improvement, but this idea is also very important in non-EMS operations. We are always looking for ways to make things smoother and more efficient. I think this job requires us to always pursue "better" and think and act on our own.
Always aiming to be the first in the industry and the world with environmental considerations.
In recent years, with the aim of achieving an internationally sustainable society, expectations for the contribution of companies to the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) have increased. This includes combating climate change, and there are many issues for companies to address, such as adopting energy-saving technologies, recycling waste more efficiently, increasing the use of renewable energy, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions throughout the supply chain.
Under these circumstances, USJC is also introducing energy-saving technologies and recycling technologies for parts and waste liquid. In order to make further contributions, I would like to promote the introduction of various state-of-the-art technologies and facilities, always aiming to be the first in the industry and world in terms of environmental friendliness, and become a leader in USJC's environmental contributions.
How OB enjoying their day off?
In my off time,
I play musical instruments
and barbells!
I played saxophone in the brass band in junior high and high school, and switched to jazz after entering college, playing in a dynamic big band. While I continued to play in a band with my friends at the time, I was invited by someone at work to form a new band, and I am still engaged in fulfilling music activities. In addition, muscle training, which I started at the invitation of a senior at university, has become an opportunity for me to connect within the company, such as becoming gym buddies with people from other departments.
other than that, I enjoy my off-hours by going out with friends.
