Manufacturing equipment engineer
R.N.

At university, I majored in electrical and electronic engineering and studied graphene, which is made by bonding carbon atoms. I was interested in semiconductors because the equipment I used was CVD equipment, which is also used to manufacture semiconductors. I also wanted to work for a company that could contribute to the world from my hometown in Mie Prefecture, and when I was job hunting, I came across USJC, a local company where I could make use of the knowledge I had learned. The decision to join the company was that I found the policy of working from a global perspective attractive.

We are professional of manufacturing equipment. We are professional of manufacturing equipment.

I work as a manufacturing equipment engineer in the equipment engineering department.
Our main duties are to manage semiconductor manufacturing equipment while keeping it in a normal state at all times, and to not only fix problems with equipment, but also to consider and improve measures to prevent them from occurring again.
Because semiconductors are made with nanolevel technology, minute changes in the equipment's parameters can trigger alarms or shut them down. It is rewarding to find out what caused this trouble, analyze it quickly, and perform maintenance to lead to better manufacturing.
In addition, there is a constant demand for quality improvement and reduction of processing time in semiconductor manufacturing. You feel a sense of accomplishment when you contribute to Quality Cost Delivery (QCD), for example, by changing the material of the parts used in the equipment.

Communication that motivates people

Semiconductor manufacturing takes several months to produce. There is also a possibility that a slight miscommunication could lead to a large number of defective products, resulting in a delay in customer delivery, and other major problemsthat could cause the company to lose credibility. Therefore, when solving a problem with a semiconductor equipment manufacturer, giving instructions to a factory that continues to operate 24 hours a day, or discussing development equipment with the process development department, etc., I always try to think from the perspective of each party and communicate them clearly.
When I joined the company, there were a lot of things I didn't understand and could't express it, but people around me listened closely. Also, it was an environment where people could give me advice from my perspective, so I really felt that I was able to absorb those good points and grow.
My future goal is to achieve even better results in the work I am currently entrusted with. There are still many issues to be tackled, such as quality and cost improvement, but I will continue to take on daily challenges, keeping in mind communication that motivates more people to cooperate.

Golf resolves my stress!
I enjoy the daily with my puppy♪

During my college years, I was a member of an a cappella club and had a great time with irreplaceable friends. I also devoted myself to tennis during my school days. I'm the type of person who just wants to do what I love and am interested in.
Currently, I enjoy playing rounds of golf with other golf-loving members of my company. In my off time at home, I spend it relaxing with my puppy.
